How can i take ownership of the initiative?
 Example;

Orphaned and vulnerable child- livelihood
participate in Individual child sponsorship program,put a smile on their faces,feed,school,cloth needy orphaned child.

For orphaned and vulnerable children in the range of  12-17 yrs,mainly school drop outs due to lack of education sponsorship and earlier pregnancies- ENSURE that these children are equiped with CLASS BASED MARKETABLE SKILLS- through VOCATIONAL TRAINING EFFORT-it is only through this initiative that these children will land on either formal or self employment AND that is PUTING FOOD ON ORPHANED CHILD TABLE

PRESENTATION-ORPHANED CHILD LIVELIHOOD

It is true that 4 out of 7 rural based households have more than 3 orphaned children,equally true is the disheartening fact that almost half of these children are total orphans with some as young as 9 years caring for their siblings.
Worrying still is the live fact that all these orphaned children inherited nothing from their parents other than poverty,they have limited access to HUMAN CAPITAL ASSET.
In my village alone,one of the poorest regions in Kenya with the highest number of HIV/AIDS related deaths,many orphaned children are 2-3 years away from school going age- with the largest percentage  in the range of 13-17 years old.
These age bracket either dropped out of school due to lack of sponsorship,early pregnancy,education facilities,food and name it.
The major concern is that these children are fast graduating into adulthood minus any skill to enable them participate in the meaningful development of their motherland.The only way to demonstrate that we care for their future is equip these children with market -oriented skills,it is only through this initiative that these children could work in both formal and non formal sector,and is only through this  that the world can rest assured that food is put on their table for keeps

Take Ownership Of Live Changing Initiatives

OKINYI OPIYO TRUST

Is non-profit oriented low income-community based organization.It was established in may 2012 to work hands in gloves with members of low income household to respond to the most urgent needs of the less fortunate members of the society.It is worth noting that the Trust is not affiliated to any religious organization or political party- it is totally independent.
Think about total orphaned children,those that lost their parents to HIV/AIDS,these children need food, shelter,schooling,school uniforms,clothes and above all love.
What about young little girls,do we really care about their rights?
Many if not few are dropping out of school or performing poorly due to lack of sanitary towels.For the last 6yrs almost three quarter of young girls in the range of 12-15 yrs have deserted parental homes on reasons based on cultural norms,in other way round, fear to face female genital mutilation(FGM)
Crime against girl child right is on the rise within low income families set-up,young girls as little as 12 yrs old are forcefully married to 56yrs. old men.It is monumental shame,but why do we sit and watch ills against girl child especially at this age of computer?
Poverty and lack of girl child rights awareness is wholly to blame,these girls lack education sponsorship.that is why they are forced into earlier marriages in exchange for wealth.
Many neglected disabled children are locked up in the house,you can participate in making a difference in their lives .
